Management, diseases of the diaphagm
Management, illness/injury/disorders within the thoracic cavity and related structures including the chest wall
Management, tumors of the mediastinum
Operations under the esophagus to include surgery for diverticulum, as well as perforation
Ordering of diagnostic studies and procedures related to the problem or disorder
Perform history and physical exam
Pericardiocentesis, pericardial drainage procedures, pericardiectomy
Privileges include care of adult patients except as specifically excluded from practice
Procedures upon the chest wall, lungs including wedge resections, segmental resections, lobectomy, and pneumonectomy for benign or malignant disease
Pulmonary artery
Resection of rib
Resection of the esophagus for benign or malignant disease
Surgery on mediastimum for removal of benign or malignant tumors
Suture of heart wound or injury
Thoracoscopy
Thoracotomy for trauma, hemorrhage, rib biopsy, drainage of empyema or removal of foreign body
